The Department of Business and Organizational Management (DEO) belongs to the School of Management of the University of Peloponnese and is based in Kalamata, the capital of the prefecture of Messinia. The Department originates from the Department of Business and Organization Management of the former TEI of Peloponnese (consisting of two introductory courses, the Department of Health and Welfare Unit Management and the Department of Local Self-Government) and has been operating since the 2019-2020 academic year (it welcomed its first students on October 2019) after the absorption of the former TEI of Peloponnese by the University of Peloponnese (Law 4610 "Synergies of Universities and TEIs, Access to Higher Education, Experimental Schools, General Archives of the State and other provisions", Gazette no. 70, vol. A', 07.05.2019). The DEO Department is aimed at secondary school graduates who wish to be trained in the modern scientific, research and applied requirements in the Science of Business Administration and envision becoming excellent scientists, successful executives and above all worthy leaders who will contribute to a better future for our country. The establishment of the Department stems from the recognition of the critical role played by the strengthening of the Greek economy with well-qualified professionals who should have the necessary scientific knowledge and resources for the proper management of businesses and organizations.
